Like I said.... call the cops, tell them it was stolen. That's a Felony. He only had permission for X long, and wouldn't return the car. That's called theft. IF the cops don't see it that way... well, you know the progressives had made huge leaps of progress in this country, thank one of them.

That is an option...but it gets into the he said-he said stuff.

The cops are going to write a bunchof stuff down....Drive back to their offices...Look at their notes and the law then call and say "Sorry...It's not a clear case of anything illegal...We can't do anything for you"

And then they are going to hang up the phone and chuckle.

Well, Then 2 can play that game. Tell the cops he was over at your house hanging out and stole your keys/truck. Violence does teach a better lesson. When you are training a animal, you don't have a chat with them, you use a 2x4 to get your point across and eventually you either kill it or the animal learns. According to hippies and progressives, we are nothing more than a evolved ape, so thefore the same principals apply. So the liberals are telling you to beat your ex-friend with a 2x4.

First, write off the friendship. Real friends respect each others property, and if they DO have a lapse in judgement they own up to it 100%.

    Second, talk to a mechanic.

    Third, talk to a lawyer.

Yet another reason why we need a drug testing policy here on TW.

Uhhh...Yeah...Lie to the cops...and then they'll go talk to him and you'll still be at square on. And I've never had to use a 2x4 to train any sort of animal- and I've got a bird that recalls and a dog that does all the basics.

As far as it teaching a better lesson- Maybe it does....or maybe he just decides you are an asshole and when he heals up he beats your ass...or like I said-You end up in jail.

I'm going to guess that if you did something that someone else didn't like and they kicked your ass over it- you wouldn't learn a damn thing and you'd be looking for revenge....

Your truck sounds dead, make him buy it from you!! You have to call the cops to get a police report, if you don't already have one from the accident/unlawful use thing. Then its a civil lawsuit against him by either you or your insurance. Get ready for some fun..

After you settle..then whoop his ass.

I have a very dry, sarcastic personality sometimes. Not my truck. Do what you want. If I did something like that my folks would of kicked my ass, never mind a friend.

Have to throw in with Brunes here.

Violence isn't going to get you anywhere in this situation. As the saying goes, you catch more flies with honey. I would go to your "friend" and make it clear that if he does right by you - i.e. compensates you for repair bills or whatever else - then all will be forgiven with no hard feelings.

If he decides not to, then he just lost the privilege of your friendship for good. It will be an expensive lesson for both of you, but moreso for him.

So after a long discussion today with the chain of command they decided to demote him for theft and dock his pay till the truck is back to the conditon it was in before i let him borrow it. Im gonna take it to a toyota mechanic and have them diagnose the problems that seem most recent. I had over 25 people write a sworn statement of my truck since the week before we were doing alot of work on our motor pool i was helping move small parts around and they new how my truck was.
