Just bought these two a couple days ago

I carry a Pulaski Axe all the time in my rig. I also carry a SOG tomahawk (I'm pretty good at throwing it), special forces shovel, and a slightly bigger shovel.

 

Finally got a shot of the RTT and awning in action this past weekend. Fun 3 day trip behind Bartlett Lake in AZ.

Fiskar makes the best axes. I'd never buy anything else after using these axes over the past year. You have a sweet storage location for yours.

 

episode 3 they mentioned more water on board... But no episode 4?

 

Actually, there are many great axe manufacturers. I would never say one makes the best. Personally I like Gränsfors Bruk the most.

Why is it I never see shots like this from all you guys with snorkels? lol

 

Probably cause they are all cleaning the poo out of their pants after a river crossing like that lol.

 

And also probably because snorkels weren't made for water crossings as their primary duty. They just work well for that.

 

What are they for then lol?

 

Keeping the intake high so the filter doesn't get clogged with dust, sand, mud, etc.

 

Ahhh i see... seems like the intake being out in the open like that you would have more of an issue in that regard...

 

Its high so the dust and mud intake is minimal as opposed to the inner fender

 

Pretty cool stuff but man that tacoma was sitting so high. I definitely would have taken out some leafs.
