Every car or truck revs up a few hundred rpm more than usual when the motor is cold

Mine does but it is only for a few seconds really then drops to normal. My old Mazdaspeed3 would do it bad in the mornings and it was pretty loud holding the rpms around 3k for a bit then dropping in steps to normal. The neighbors were not too thrilled I'm sure.

They don't run near as fast as they sound like they are. The clutch fan spins when they are cold for maybe 30 seconds and they really make a lot of noise until the fan quits spinning. Mine even below zero is only at 1,500 RPM cold.
