Coolant pump.

Walked out late at night in the garage and noticed my supercharger coolant pump running. Truck hasn't even been started all day. Is it normal for the pump to activate with truck off? I know it should kick on at the turn or the ignition.

Yes - the pump +power is taped into the fuel pump/EFI fuse if I recall correctly. So, whenever the truck runs a self diagnostic test/fuel pump test of sorts, it also causes the coolant pumps to run for a few minutes which is why you hear the pump whine sometimes randomly when the truck is off. Its normal.

 

Perfectly fine.... Its when u dont hear it that u gotta worry.
