Thinking about putting a tranny gcooler
Was wondering if anyone has ever run into a problem with their overdrive.
I have a 96 2.4 ( three speed overdrive) the overdrive will only kick in after it is warmed up. This will only happen when the truck is cold ( totally cold). After its been run for awhile it works as it should. It kicks in at the same place on the water temp gauge every time. If I drive the same route it kicks in at the very same place every time.
    thx

happens to me too. also when it kicks in with engine cold, the the tranny kicks into gear very roughly with big thud. I always warm my car up in the morning or anytime the start the car and it doesnt idle below 1k. i always warm it up till it drops under 1k and the car runs good.
