Will going from a 295/70R17 E rated tire that weighs 72LBS to a 315/70R17 D-Rated tire that weight 59LBS improve my gas mileage and help to smooth out my ride a little? I know that E rated tires are 10-Ply and alot for a tacoma. When i look at the tire calc. there is only a -3.2% difference in revs per mile. I am currently getting 10.47 MPG with the 295 tires and a ride that feels like I am riding on solid rubber tires. The 315's are 8-Ply and weigh 13LBS/Each less. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
