Those washers are for the banjo bolts. They don't go inside the filter.

    R u sure connection isn't cross threaded?
Was there an o ring on the hose end of the connection that is bad or missing?
Can u get a picture of the old filter?
I'm on my phone and having a hard time finding a pic of the v6 filter.
Maybe someone will be along who has changed it.

Those washers crush and stick sometimes,,dig around. It might have dropped or stuck there.

Auto parts should have them if you need all 4. (2 per each end of filter).

Copper washers go on each side of the fuel line fitting(banjo bolt). Pass your bolt thru all that and then thread it into the filter.

So there should be 2 crush washers on each end of the fuel filter and the little copper washers to on the fitting that screws onto the fuel filter?

I have done it exactly as shown .it still leaks from rear. I will have to inspect closely see if filter maybe damaged or line. Did not leak on old one,

Make absolutely sure there is only one washer of each side of the line. It's possible one of the old washers is stuck to either the bolt head or fuel line.

You might have overtightened. 14ft-lbs on those fittings as per the book. If you overtighten, you can squirm/smash washers and pinch the banjo fitting to it's bolt just by the way it is shaped. It will pinch tight to that bolt and be a real bugger to remove next time,,and it will cause it to leak. Those banjo bolts are partially hollow,,fuel passes thru them. If you wrench them down really tight you can compromise what that bolt is supposed to do.

If at 14-ftlbs you see some seepage while it runs,,then snug them up just a bit more till it stops. At some point in time,, use good judgement and stop tightening the bolt if it is still leaking. Something else might have failed.
