Leather Seats

Hello,

I have an 09 Tacoma. I was wondering where I could find leather seats(that possibly are heated). I remember seeing them in a thread, but I can't remember which thread it was.

 

Katzkin leather seat covers replace the cloth covers.

No, a local shop supplied and installed my covers and heaters.

You might look into Roadwire kits too just as another option. I'm very happy with mine, and in my case were cheaper than Katzkin and are actually a thicker leather. I did not get heaters.

How do you know your Roadwire is thicker leather?

 

A third option is clazzios. Search the forum, lots of threads with all 3 types.

I'm nervous I'd screw it up on my own. Was it rough homer?

 

It is time consuming but not very difficult if you have the know how. I used to do it professionally .
I did that write up to save folks about $500 or so in install charges.
I'd rather blow a weekend day doing the install than pay someone else.

To be fair, I didn't measure the leather. I went into a well-regarded interior installer here in Denver and specifically asked for Katzkins. The owner told me no problem and he could do that, but he preferred Roadwire because it was cheaper and a thicker, higher quality leather (his words, not mine). I went with his recommendation and couldn't be happier with my seats. I think Katzkin makes a great product and they are much better known, making them the go to when it comes to leather. But I have held the two side by side, and the Roadwire kit felt more "substantial". For me, it was the better choice.

Katzkin dealer install with minimum wrinkles. The red piping really screams at you! Very satisfied with purchase and install.

 

Check around @ some local interior shops and get some prices installed. I got mine installed cheaper than I could have bought the kit for and installed my self.
