What would be a better choice over stock shocks with a 6" DB lift on a second gen. Was looking at the bilstein 5125s, but wasn't sure which ones to get (10" 12" or 14"). Getting rid of the blocks for some alcan springs, so would like some extra travel without modding the stock mounting locations...

EDIT: for reference, here are the shocks I was looking at. Which of these would work?

Really, the only way to be sure on your length is to take the shock off and cycle your suspension. Measure your the distance between your shock mounts fully compressed and fully extended, then compare to the chart in your link. You want your shock's compressed length to be a little shorter than your springs compressed length the safety of the shock.

My guess is, if you are lifted 6 inches, you'll be looking at the 10" or 12" travel 5125.

Gotcha  I guess I was hoping to get a response from a member who has installed the shocks with the same setup so that I know for sure without taking measurements.

Would love additional advice :D Thanks again!

Anyone have any ideas on what shocks to get with a 6" lift in the rear?
