I have noticed a small whine coming from my truck when it idles. Once i push the clutch in it fades away. It shifts fine but the noise has me worried. What do you think?

I know the throw out bearing makes this noise on the 2nd gens when it's failing...may be the same issue for you

Mine has a distinct noise, kind of like a whirring at idle until I depress the clutch pedal. At this point, I'm not going to worry until I begin having problems or the clutch starts slipping.

Input bearing would be my guess since the noise goes away when you depress the clutch. As long as it doesn't sound like gravel in the box at idle or anything it's probably not going to hurt anything in the short/mid term
