first, I'm a total noob to this forum, love the website though so go easy on me..

Reason I'm posting is I've recently picked up a pyrite 2011 tacoma double cab short bed..I'm looking to put some ladder racks on it.. I was given a trac rac sliding system off a much larger truck which is a little more diesel than I need but they were a gift so I'd love to use em.. They don't offer an install kit for my specific model...I know people have figured out a way to mount them and am looking for some helpful info on doing it myself..any help would be appreciated..I know I can cut the rails to fit the bed but not sure how to fasten them down..

Sorry to say that you will have to "MacGuyver" this one. The sliding TracRac was never offered on the Tacoma bed. There are bracket kits available for the other style TracRacs to work with the Tacoma bed, but those brackets are not compatible with the sliding rack.
