Depends on what you get. I got my intial set up for about $600. You can get the a lower model, aka easier to use, for around $300 and still take great pictures.

I'm totally sold on the mirrorless setup Gage has after seeing the pictures he took last time we met up. A DSLR is way too much for me. I'm totally gonna look into something similar when I decide to purchase a camera if that helps your decision at all :D

Cam, when you go to Delaware drive the speed limit, the don't mess around there. The Stein Highway was named for my great-grandfather. I don't really know anything there, cause I've only been there family homes and family gathering at Lewis beach area. Have a great trip.

    Suggestions for driving in Ontario/Quebec:

    2 lane highways:

1 - If you aren't going at least 10 over, get off the damn highway.
2 - If you are the leading car and you speed up when you hit a passing lane, someone will (rightfully) run you off the road.
3 - Ride the right if there is an opportunity for you to be passed.
4 - Ignore yellow speed recommendation signs, the "scary corners" aren't that bad if you only have 4 wheels (exception: if the sign is 5+ meters high and has flashing yellow lights)

    4 lane highways:
1 - you should be doing at least 15 over
2 - No matter how fast you are going, stick to the right, someone will be going faster (number of damn US plates I've seen hanging out in the passing lane)
3 - When you get passed by a transport, flash him in so the other traffic can get by
4 - Ignore construction speed limits, if everyone else isn't slowing down, you don't have to either.

    Highways in Montreal:
1 - They are mostly 6 lanes, so play the "middle lane game" exits pop out of nowhere on the right, left, or center.
2 - Ignore speed limits the "70" signs are a lie.
3 - Don't bother leaving space between vehicles, someone will fill it.
4 - Keep the windows closed, Montreal drivers can smell fear.

Speeding is for chumps. Go 10 under and make sure everyone has to pass you.

All of this is true. Go to Montreal and Quebec every year to see the Gf's family. Just be extra cautious and no everyone there drives like a complete nut. Every year I go, there is always something that happens when driving there. Not on the 6 hour drive to montreal or quebec, no, when we are there and driving in Montreal and Quebec.

Best advice, stay out of the passing lane, and drive with traffic and you will be fine
