Hey everyone, i believe i have figured out what tires I want to get next but would like some opinions first. I have read through the 255/85/16 thread a ton. I know there aren't too many 255/85/16 tire choices out there but the problem I'm having is I don't want a M/T tire as I don't need one. I live in tahoe so snow and ice are more of an issue, besides camping and going on forest service roads I'm not rock crawling or mudding really at all. I believe from the research I've done most all 255 series tires come in load range E. I would really like to stay away from that. I would prefer to stay with a Load C or D if i can. I like the cooper S/T because its more of an A/T tire and it comes in a Load D. I guess my main question is are there any other 255 series tires out there that I'm missing that is more of an A/T tire that is not in a Load E. Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

I dont know about any others in that size, but I have ran the ST's and loved them. I will be replacing a set of tires on my wifes tacoma with these in a few months and the next set on my taco will be st's. They wore really well and took anything I could throw at them. I have been more and more impressed with Cooper in that 5 or 6 years. Their product has gotten much better and are still very reasonably priced in my opinion.

I thought the s/t max is considered an a/t tire as it was replacing the discovery or something. From there site I understood it as they combined the goodness of there mud tire and commercial tire, to make a a/t. could be wrong though
