never mentioned it before , but, my tacoma came with said limited lifetime powertrain warranty. i am good friends with the lots managers son and got a pretty good deal to begin with, from what i have heard the 2.7 is pretty much bulletproof , but i guess the extra coverage can't hurt. anyone else have a similar warranty ?

Yup, the dealership I bought from includes it for free. Doesn't really matter to me, though. I have a habit of voiding warranties.

Your in Pittsburgh...what dealer did you buy from?

I bought my 2009 at Toyota of Greensburg and it also had the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. Seems like a great deal if you plan to keep your truck for 10+ years. Otherwise, the factory warranty is 6yrs (65K) - I think.
But I bought the extended service plan, so I am covered up to 7yrs (75K) bumper to bumper.

To keep your warranty in tact, be sure you keep receipts from every oil change or maintenance performed. Use your log book and be very detailed (who, when, where, what the mileage was, products used, etc).

    Congrats on the purchase!
