TRD cold air intake vs Other cold air

    Volant CAI,Painted brake calipers red,led lights for steps and LEDs in the bed.And 2in leveling kit installed
    Which should I purchase. I love the looks of the TRD but don't want to buy it and it not upgrade my truck as in performance. BTW I have a 2011 TX TRD

    A TRD one is just a rebranded K&N that's all. If I were you I would go for Something else.

    Its a $100 cheaper or you saying stay away from any K&N products

    Too few to list.
    The TRD version one is made by AFE and the version 2 is made by AEM. I believe the version 1 was tested and it made some power but not significant to justify the price.

    I don't think they still make the TRD v1 and also the AFE has the additional air inlet on the bottom of box now.

    The current TRD intake is made by K&N. It is know to cause running issues. It is also the "Version 2".

    The First Gen TRD was made by AFe. Their contract ended and they still make it, as in the link posted above. It makes a decent amount of power. Dyno charts of all sorts of configurations are in my Sig. Price per HP, isn't bad for N/A power.
