    2011 SR5 access cab, white, 4x4, 6cyl auto, 58,000 kms (36,000 mi), certified used model, 1 yr warranty... $24,000

They'll be charging a doccument fee of $800...? Huh? Never heard of that one before, but whatever...

Oh and there looks to be a newish set of Goodyear Wranglers on it too.

I'm on the west coast and the dealership is in Calgary Alberta... that same truck out here would have been an extra $3K... insane, I know. I was "that close" to going for a lease on a 2014 at the local dealer, but they wanted more financial info from me which meant filing my 2013 taxes, which I have yet to do.

In the meantime I was fairly aggressively scouring the local craigslist, kijiji, and most recently auto trader... focusing solely on local ads, and for some reason or other this one randomly showed up, and I decided to follow up on it.

So it'll mean taking a standby flight out there and drive it back through the Rocky Mountains - a nice drive back to the coast.

I don't know the going rate for tacomas around there, but it seems like that would be a pretty decent deal down here.

A buddy of mine is going to give me $3500 for my '97. I'll be sad to see her go, those 1st gen are tough as nails. Really well built machines.
But I'm tired of shifting gears - I want an automatic... and more power.

I would have preferred Magnetic Grey, or black - even the silver looks pretty sharp - but it's going to be a work truck and white is still pretty fine.

What sold me was the fact that I'll be getting some warranty protection.
An '07 TRD access cab (also white) had JUST slipped past me - that was the night I discovered the auto trader online a couple of weeks ago - that one was the same price but even fewer miles/km (less than 30,000 mi / 45,000 km), but no warranty. But by then I pretty much became hooked on the chase.
