Recently traded my 2010 Xterra for a 2012 Tacoma TRD Sport DCLB with 40,000km. I bought a house and was sick of using the SUV as a truck, but still didn't want a fullsize. The Xterra had some issues arise that made me jump into this Tacoma, and now I'm kinda wishing I'd gone for the TRD Offroad ACLB 6MT that I was originally drooling over. The local Toyota dealer disappointed me with their trade-in offer, so I went next door and fell for this used beaut instead. I do miss driving a stick more than expected, and wouldn't mind one less foot of vehicle/3 less feet of turning radius, but I'll survive!

The above aside, I do love the truck. It handles way nicer than my parents 2010 Frontier CCLB, and I think it looks way better too! I can't believe I went this long without Bluetooth audio.. Did I mention it's a beautiful truck?

The main downsides to it are the stock tires (need to deal with before next winter and open to suggestions) and the lift it came with (3" rear and 2" front?!). I'm planning to rip out that lift and go with a one inch block or add-a-leaf and bilstein 5100's in the rear, and 5100's at 1.75" in the front. I've already had to replace the rear left ABS speed sensor and harness, hopefully not related to this lift.

Sorry for the rant, it's 12:30am here and I'm way tired, but wanted to finally get acquainted with this great site before heading to bed.

for the rear, try to get a progressive 3 leaf AAl..... its 3 thinner leaves and is MUCH more compliant than a single AAL, while giving the same lift and still allowing for perfect weight carrying.

    been there done that
