After servicing the mouse laden cabin air filter, the glove box door fails to stay closed. Everything appears to be installed correctly.
    What am I missing?

Take it off, put it back on ensuring that you lined up the hinge-like bottom correctly. There's zero trick to it.

And try not to remove it any more than you have to as the plastic pins bend easily and then the dampener won't stay on.

If you take it to dealer for oil changes they will remove it every time in an effort to get $30 out of you for a new filter.

Mine has no hydraulic thing. I saw it on a parts fiche at the dealer parts dept. but the service guy just wriggled the glove box until it settle in and is now functioning as it always has before the filter change.

BTW, if I need that hydraulic thing, where can I get one without buying the entire door?

I would not waste the money. My 2009 did have it. 2013 does. First time at dealer for oil change I got the truck back and it was disconnected. Never realized until I checked filter. 5000 miles and dealer is already trying to sell me a stinkn cabin filter.

That's a good reason to do your own work, unless it needs special tools, etc.

If you really wanted one, maybe you could find one at a salvage yard.

I would tell them it was there before they did the work and now it's not, they need to get you another.
