So I bought my 06 tacoma base model access cab in February, and I'm starting to do mods to it. I want to put better speakers in the back, along with a good sub and amp to listen to everything from rap, dubstep to country. I want bass and good sound for when I decide to blast the tunes. I keep looking at a bunch of speakers and amps and subs, yet have no clue what I'm really looking at. I'd just like to hear some set ups and suggestions.

Prob want to upgrade the head unit for better sound. That is usually more beneficial than speakers plus it gives you more equalizer settings. I replaced all the speakers in my 07. It was a bitch taking basically the whole interior out to get the new speakers in. I had two 10" subs in the back for a while... I felt it was too much bass. Tried to build a box with one of them but never got it good.

I'd check the audio forum on this site for a bunch if good ideas.

My plan was a double din probably kenwood, then buy everything and have professionally done, don't feel like screwing up and breaking something. I was thinking a 10" sealed wedge for the back. If fold the seat down to set it on so I'd still have access to the storage. Thanks I'll deffinatly look at it more. I've seen some but so far all it's done is give me more questions than answers

I replaced everything besides the head unit, and Added two 10 subs. Any speakers you put I there, will be 100x better than stock lol. Most head units are running blue tooth, some have what's called the app radio.

But if you post the same thing at this link. There will be a lot more tw members that can help you out.

Ok thank you, I will do that. I found for stock speakers they do a better job than most others

if you look at my photos you can see my set up. i have 2 rockford fosgate 10" subs behind the seats and i made an amp rack in-between. in the back i put Alpine type-s components with the tweeter mounted in the door. and in the front i have alpine type-r components. it hits really hard for sealed boxes and makes the whole cab shake. she speakers make everything clear. when i crank it up really loud you can hear every word from over 50 yards away. finding subs that fit in these trucks is really hard. the subs have a bottom mounting depth of like 5.25 and top of around 3.5. it fits great and still has room for the woofer to flex. not sure how much your wanting to spend but with systems its better to go expensive and get what you want.

I will for sure look. Thanks for the suggestion and yeah money isn't a problem. I want hard hitting clean and just quality. I was thinking of buying a seperate enclosure and buying a high quality sub. I want good speakers and I'm afraid that if I buy something and it might not sound as good as I expect and hoped. I'd like only one sub. If I have to go to a 12 inch I wouldn't mind
