I have a 2004 Tacoma 4x4 V6. I was wondering if you guys think it could handle 900lbs of scrap metal in the bed. I don't want to ruin anything. I need the scrap money for my boat not my truck. Thanks

The payload is listed in the owners manual in the back. There's a different payload rating for each combination of body styles/drivetrains/engines.

Oddly enough, the combo that takes the highest payload? Regular cab Prerunners. :D

I think your 900 pounds is safe, but verify it in the manual.
