    Picking up my new 17ft Travel Trailer tomorrow and ready to hit the road running. Where are the best places to go Camping in North Texas? Headed out to Possum Kingdom State Park first...staying close to home the first few outings cuz I gotta learn how to tow and camp in a trailer! May seem silly but there is a first time for everything right!

    Recommendations Please...:cool::)

    Not Texas but check out Beavers Bend state park in Oklahoma.
    Purtis Creek southeast of Dallas
    I like Lake Whitney as well.
    Also heard good things about several of the parks near Austin in the hill country. Inks Lake state park and Colorado Bend state park.
    Check out Caprock Canyon state park as well.

    Those should keep you busy for a bit.

    Inks Lake SP is great. Visited Pedernales Falls SP a couple weekends ago. Didn't camp, but the park is really nice.
