So considering first Tacoma and was set on the 6 cyl but wondering if the 4 is more suitable for me. Is the power that bad? Looking at the below tomorrow night

    1. This price sounds too good doesnt it?

    2. Will this lift and tires put a hit on mpg? Im ok with 2-3loss but i will be using this to haul band equip. Will be getting bed cover.

The 4x4 is necessary for me as i travel to west virginia alot with the band.

I have always loved lifted trucks ....and hoping i can get into this and be happy. Hoping u all can give advice on the above truck for purchase!

Not bad but I bought my 2005 TRD off road 4x4 in the end of 2008 for almost $15k even. It had right at about 60k miles on it on was listed at 58k miles on Craigslist but I looked for year till I came across that deal since I was at a low budget job and first semester of college but paid it off myself (while in school and got a better paying job). I was about to buy a new 4cyl access cab just because resale on these are so high (for a good reason) and instead go buy a new 4x4 4cyl access cab cause it wasn't a lot more and I would have had better interest rates even though my parents cosigned. But I would pay few grand more and get a new one with warranty and better interest rates unless you're paying in full and you can lift and customize it how you want it (you don't know what a lifted owner put it through).

Thank you for the info. Would love to buy new but im trying to save a few bucks. Getting rid of a 2014 subaru forester that im just not happy with...impulse buy...long story. Lol

Has anyone that bought the 4cyl regretted it and wished they got the 6cyl?

I definitely wish at times I had the extra power of the 4.0, but the openness of the engine bay and ease of working on the engine keep me happy that I got the 2.7. Power is okay, but don't plan to pass anyone quickly with larger tires and a lift. Armor just makes it worse lol
