Removed the price sticker in the window, bobbed 6" off the mudflaps, debadged. TSB completed.
I took mine off for a month. Then I bobbed 6" off them. I like them better on than off now. Used a miter saw (but not the miter box) to cut them and a woodworking "cheese" grater to shape them. Then a bass-tard file, then sand paper, then a little open flame on the edges. Looks like the factory did it. FYI, if you use a saw, cut from the inside to the outside.

No flaps, no regrets. Sliders keep the fronts chip free and the back end is holding up very well thus far. Looks 1 million times better and people don't ride my arse in the rain because I spray one mean rooster tail! :D
Plus, I'm sick of the damn push pins popping out every time I try to go over something...

Trimmed mine severely. They now hang just a tad lower than the exhaust. Protects everything you'd want them to protect + looks far better:

Yanked the front but left the rear. BTW, in order to retain my pins, I used 3/8" black faucet washers. I just had to drill the center out a bit and they snug the pins extremely well.

I will say one thing...stealing pics from another thread for comparison, removing them seems to make the truck look taller and more sleek in my eyes. Leaving them on gives the look that its riding lower.

    WilsonTheDog and Veccster's beautiful trucks:

What's making it look lower in that photo of Veccster is the tube steps, not the flaps.

And they look lower because they are lower...but they're still not the lowest part of the undercarriage (front crossmember/transfer case takes that honor).

The nice thing about tubes is that they do provide some protection of their own.

Took mine off after one of them got cracked offroad. Absolutely no regrets.
