Hey guys, I have an 07 Tacoma. Originally, it was my dad's, but he's not doing well so I've inherited it/will inherit it as mine. In my opinion, I know it's a "mini truck" so I don't want a super crazy lift/off road look. I was looking for suggestions/help as to what y'all think would work for me. I like taco's with around a 3" life and slightly wider tires, but on the same hand, I'm coming from an 01 f150 that get's somewhere between 11-20 mpg (yeah.. I can't figure it out either). I don't want to hurt mpg by more than 1 or 2. My friend suggests just doing a leveling kit instead of something like a 3" lift to save mpgs. Of course, there will be new wheels and tires. I was figuring around a 33 for the tire wouldn't affect mpg too much, but I might be wrong. Basically, what do y'all guys suggest for a happy medium for off road looks (lift and wheels) and mileage? Here are some old pics of it, but it still looks the same.

    Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure you could easily fit 32x11.50 tire with 2" lift without other headaches. You'll need at least an 8" wide rim to accommodate the 11.50 wide tire.

I had 32x11.50's on my 1st gen with 2" lift (many years ago). It was a happy medium for offroad, aggressive looks.... didn't bother the gas mileage too much that I cared to notice.

33" tires - especially wide ones (12.50 for example) are difficult to fit with only 3" of lift. I'm pretty certain you'll end up with rubbing the tires if you don't do some trimming or additional lift/body lift etc. You could probably get away with pizza cutters (33x9.50) - but those things just don't look right!! IMO
