Havin an issue with my 2004 Trd .. When I bought the truck I noticed a bad vibration in the steering wheel especially when I braked.. The truck steering was also very loose and pulled something fierce towards the shoulder.... The dealer told me one of the tires were out of round so he replaced all four tires.. It did help the situation but didn't fix it... I worked out a deal and brought the truck home.. I had new tires put on it and an alignment done. Also had the rotors checked and they were fine. This pretty much fixed the problem but now, roughly 20,000 miles later the problem has come back.steering wheel vibrates and I can feel every bump register through the wheel... She's pullin to the shoulder again and steering feels really loose. I haven't done any heavy off road in so I don't think I've messed up the alignment.
Any thoughts as to fixin this issue would be greatly appreciated

Mine does the same thing but not all the time. It seems when I hit a highway and get up to fifth gear it vibrates so bad it makes my tire jacks under my seats rattle but like u said when I hit brakes to come to stop it does the same thing as yours. If you find out anything I'd like to know.

Did you check out thread above yours on my phone about front diff drivers side needle bearing? I think it says 1st gen front differential vibration.

I feel I should reiterate my problem as I don't think "vibration"
isn't the most accurate word to describe the issue.
What I'm noticing is more of a "wobble" in the steering wheel.
It wobbles back and forth approx. 1/2" and becomes even more violent when I brake... It pulls like crazy and almost feels like the truck wants to steer itself... Eg. When off roading if I were to hit a rock (goin slow) with the steering wheel slightly turned it will jolt the steering wheel right over ... Almost a wrist breaker... Lol
Also steering is very loose and I can feel every bump register through the steering wheel
Hope that paints a clearer pic as to my problem
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

Id check the rack bushings. i had the same problem on my 02 and once i replaced the bushings it drove like a dream. it could also be the rag joint. if you can move the steering wheel and the tires dont turn right away it could be that or the bushings. those were just the two things that i did at the same time on my truck and it could be something different. good luck with it though and let us know what you find.

I've heard many guys mention this rack bushing... Out of my symptoms described which ones would a rack bushing be the culprit of?

When mine went bad it would pull a lot when id hit bumps. Also (depending on how bad the road was) when i brake. There was some play in the steering as well. I think it cost me $150 to have them done at a shop. Id take it in and have it looked at to see if that is whats going bad. If your steering wheel shakes really bad on straight roads could also be a bad tie rod.

Ya she's in the shop today... Lots of possibilities in the front end... Def think I'm dealing with multiple issues... Back end jumpin might be rotors or poss carrier bracket?
Today I noticed a whisling noise comin from the back half of the drive shaft

Well rack bushings are pretty easy to put in. I did that to mine. Another thing is my rotors are warped and cause it to wobble or pulse as I brake. Haven't replaced those yet. I also found a thread regarding the steering column shaft being loose and it would kinda clank hitting bumps. The fix was a couple tac welds on the column itself. I forget the name of the shaft and the thread itself. I'll try and find it. But I tac welded it and no more clanking on bumps. Nice and tight. But yeah it sounds like u may have more issues combined. What'd the shop say?
