STOLEN: 05 Pre-runner Southwest Austin, TX

Hello all, I just wanted to post this in an attempt to cover every avenue I can in finding my stolen Silver 2005 Tacoma Prerunner Double Cab SR5. Sorry if I did not post this in the proper place.

It was stolen from my house in my garage on 4/11/14 from Southwest Austin near Slaughter and Mopac.

The little shits broke in my house through the back door, ransacked the house, stole our TV's, laptops, credit cards, check books, and of course found the keys to my 2nd Tacoma in my nightstand. They also took the spare set of keys to my new Tacoma that I bought in December.

The stolen Tacoma is silver with black lower front bumper, blacked out grill and surround, red painted front tow hook. It has a roll 'n lock bed cover. Above the rear doors on both sides, there are dents from where my Yakima roof rack mounts had been overloaded. The driver side fender has some damage to the paint and has a bit of rust. It has "Share the Road" Texas License plates: FS29K. There is a sticker above the registration (expired) and inspection stickers of a green pine tree. Mudflaps removed.

Picures: The picture's isnt entirely accurate. I don't have a proper recent picture. It shows a chrome grille, but it is painted black. Also, the stripe on the hood as been removed. The tow hook IS still red. The picture with the rack on the roof: No more roof rack. It was removed and put onto my new tacoma.

 

I know what you are going through. My Tacoma was stolen out of the parking lot where I work a few months back. They ended up finding it after the drug dealer put 60k miles on it. Insurance bought me a new one but believe me...you will end up loosing money on the whole deal. What really sucks is you have to change your bank acct. numbers, keys to the house, all vehicles, garage door opener, and put a security lock on all personal information you have in the event they try to steal your identity.

I will keep an eye out for it on the north side of Austin.
