I just wanted to share my workaround for adding bluetooth connectivity to my 2008 truck.

All i used is a GTA aux adapter:
    http://www.gtacarkits.com/product/toyota-tacoma-2005-2014-iphone-aux-kit/

and a Belkin Hands free car kit:
    http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-BlackBerry-Smartphones/dp/B004CLYJ2I

This took zero know-how to do. The gta aux adapter plugs into an empty port on the back of the radio and I just velcroed the in/out box behind that. That works great alone as an aux cable, and I just used this to plug in my phone for music until i bought the bluetooth device.

When i bought the bluetooth kit, I added a PAC ground loop isolator to prevent and hissing when connecting the aux cable to the belkin. From here i just mounted the Mic/Puck device, plugged in the power to the cig lighter, and ran the cords through the hole in that little compartment in the picture. I had to use a hanger to route the 3.5mm male end through and plug it in behind the radio, but it wasn't really a pain at all! I thought about hard wiring it, but it's just too easy the way I have it now, and I think it looks pretty clean. If i didn't have 4WD it may look pretty perfect sitting in where that is!

why do you need to buy the belkin hands free? Doesn't eh GTA bluetooth kit enable you to connect your iPhone via bluetooth?
thinking of buying the bluetooth enabled GTA kit, but dont know how my phone will 'talk' to the car and enable me to hear my calls through the speakers..
