I have had my Tacoma (2010 TRD OR) for around two months. Around 2 weeks ago I started getting a vibration in the driver floor board and up through the steering wheel. very noticeable from 15-35 and would almost go away above 50 or when put in 4x4. I'm not talking road or mud tire vibs, it was like wendy Williams vibrater laying on my floor board on full power. And it would pulse in and out. Threw her on a hoist and you could grab the left front CV axle were it comes out of the diff and move it up and down a significant amount. WAY more than the right side. And NO play in either wheel bearing. She only has 40k on her so I took it to Toyota for there opinion and to get it fixed (under power train warranty).

Service writer calls me this morning saying "O ya, he (tech) felt the vibrations and it needs hub bearing assys." and told me they would be under warranty. They have to be ordered and will be in tomorrow also told me that going away at 50 and 4x4 is normal for bad wheel bearings , and the tech hasn't looked at the CV axle play yet... so I will see what happens from here.

As did I. I tried to tell them that, but after he told me the bearings where under warranty, I figured fuck it let them replace them, and when it doesn't fix it I'll have new hubs also.
