Question about the 5100's

Hi I just got my height adjustable toytec lift with bilstein shocks
And when I got the shocks they were already set to the full length
Should I run them like that with the eibach coils or drop them down
One notch ??? Thank you

 

First off what is it prerunner or 4x ? you've got it listed as both , change that man so the next guy isn't confused ok ?.. Continuing on

Are you saying that Toytec sent you your 5100's with the Eibachs alreay on , set to the highest setting ??

C'mon OP tryin to help... awww fuck it , yeah set the billies to the top & make sure to preload the living shit out of those Eibachs for that smooth ride.... I'm out...

 

Drop them down

 

Set them down to stock notch. I just installed eibachs on my bilsteins at the top notch and my UCA's are at a huge angle down. So I gotta take mine apart and drop them down. Save the aggravation. Your truck will ride like shit.

Haha I hope he didn't pay for them to be pre-assembled then come to find out he has to take them apart to fix their screw up.

 

It's a prerunner converted to a 4wd and I got the shocks and coils unmounted
At the highest point can I drop them down one notch and be fine

 

Now we can chat...first off , see highlighted, coils arent on but the clip on shock is at the highest ? this right ??

 

This is the deal , especially if 4x, you've got 3" lift coils I'm assuming, you HAVE to drop the clip to the lowest setting (stock) on shock because for one its job is to do the lifting with as little preload as possible, thats why its longer & more importantly since you ARE 4x, the limit for lift with IFS is 3" , anything more & your out of specs for alignment & your CV angle will really suffer, thats why you always drop the clip on bottom with aftermarket coils for those adjustable ride heighters
