Can anyone out there share photos of a 2nd Gen Taco sporting a Leer 122 shell? MGM / Access Cab would be ideal! But at this point, anything is better than nothing.

I've searched high & wide for photos. Leer's website has one, barely, and I have only found a few 1st Gen pics on this site.

Google's Image search, using <<"leer 122" tacoma>>, produces meager results (but the best I've found so far).

    Thanks!

I have a Leer 122 on my '08 Extended cab. I don't have a picture now, but I'll snap one tomorrow and post it.

Leer 122 with optional windoors on the sides. Cap cost me $1800, but I think it was well worth it. I also installed a net in the high part in the back to store little stuff, like my hard hat and safety vest, cycling gloves and stuff like that.

Looks sharp! Any post-purchase thoughts? I do some biking, but am looking at hitch-mounted carriers. The primary purpose for the shell is lazy man camping.

Thanks again for taking the time to snap & post that.

I have a Saris Triple Track to carry bikes. I have to carry at least 2 bikes when we go riding. I can carry up to 4 bikes, and have all the biking gear in the back where the smell won't kill us. :D

I pulled the trigger on the Leer 122 shell. I had a hard time finding pics, so I'll add mine. Right now I just have two pieces of 32"x56"x3/4" plywood in the back, but it's working great. Sometimes I think the 122 lines are a bit off for the Tacoma, sometimes I like them, but the extra head space is WELL worth any doubt I may have.

I posted a picture about a week ago of a Leer 180 on a 2100 Access Cab. Not quite as much extra headroom as a 122 but about 7" more than the standard shaped cap.

Can any one tell me how much extra head room you get with a 122. How many inches taller is it than the cab? I wondering if my truck will still fit in my garage with this cap.

Does the Leer 122 use C clamps for attaching or something else? I'm buying one of these used this coming weekend but the guy no longer has the hardware and I'm trying to figure out how to keep it securely on the bed.

Well it looks like Leer is not making the 122 for the 3rd gen tacos. Major bummer!

Where did you hear that from? Is that what a Leer Dealer told you?
