When I tried to install an AAL from toytec and my rear axle almost fell off of the jack and onto the floor....scared the shit out of me.

Then found out hours later after bolting one side of the axle back that the pack wasn't made for my year model even though it was supposed to be.

TRD exhaust. I wish I would have gotten the magnaflow offroad. Cheaper and more functional.

Wife bought me a trd bug deflecter. $180 could have been better spend

Weld on sliders. Should have paid jerry lee to powder coat them

Toytec ultimate lift kit. Really wish I would have just spent a little more on full ICON/dakars. Off road ride is great but it will beat ya up on the highway.

Ventvisors. Dont need them now that I quit smoking and they freaking squeek when its cold and sun hits them.

I have some minor mods I regret Doing and Not Doing...

    1. Not putting the D6XL aal on my new leaf pack before install. Now I gotta go back and uninstall then reinstall.

    2. Very Minor mod was wasting $50 on the bug/ rock guard. I had more rock chips with it than I ever had without it. So Its for sale if anyone wants it...

    3. I regret not buying a 4x4 when looking for a Tacoma. At first I had no thoughts of creating an offroad capable vehicle. After finding TW that's all I want to do when I have free time! A Locked Prerunner is still very capable but having the 4wheel D would have been nice and would have saved me from having to convert eventually

That's all for now... Im sure there will be more, but the regrets are half the fun of making a truck my own :)

That's why I regret buying the Tacoma, because I cant afford the icon 3inch, set of 285 bfg km2's, the hybrid winch bumper, the winch, the rear tube bumper, the string of led bars and singles, the supercharger etc etc etc.

I love everything I have done to my truck except installing bushwackers and selling the stock flares. They rattle bad on washboard roads. The fronts are off and I'm trying to work out a solution.

I was trying to get the fake bolt holes to line up with the holes in the fender. The first 4 in the front line up pretty well if I lower it 3/8". I would have to gut the flare and leave the inside open. The rear holes don't line up very well. I made some Teflon spacers with self centering/aligning washer already.

I might try the double sided tape first tho. Much easier :D

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
    Firstly...tw.com Biggest mistake ever!

No...this site is awesome and just reminds me everyday how much I want to do and how little time and money to do it with...including this:

    ...finding these guys:
    http://dieseltoys.com/tacoma-diesel-conversions

Step 1: Buy a new taco (woooo!!! yeaaaa!!!!)
    Step 2: ????
Step 3: Lust for another 26K for what I REALLY want.

Also, anyone want to buy a kidney? Left nut?

    x2 on finding TW

Biggest regret was not getting a 4x4

I also regret plasti-dipping my sport wheels. Too many touch ups were needed around the valve stem, wheel weights, and any time I had to remove them. Plus they just made me want black wheels even more. Could have saved a lot of time and money if I just left the stockers alone. On the other hand the emblems have worked out great, no touch ups and still look great.

Why didn't you like the Grillcraft?

Thinking about getting one, I snapped off a tab (the big one on the bottom) on my grill when installing fog lights. I figure I can paint it and throw in the Grillcraft and it it doesn't work out it was a boned project from the start!
