Hello, I am new to the site. my Tacoma 06, 4x4, Sports, ext cab. has a 6 speed transmission and the speed coming out of the pedal jumps in most gears not a smooth transition, I been looking for a clutch fluid and con not find it in the engine compartment. took some pics for you to see. Well my question is where is it, and if there is a way to adjust the clutch?. Thanks God Bless you <><

It shares the brake fluid reservoir. No there are no adjustments as its a hydraulic system.

See that rubber hose going to the master cylinder reservoir? thats your clutch master feed =)

Cubano, first of all Welcome to Tacoma World.

That brake fluid looks pretty dark. How many miles you got on your truck? The 6 speed has a bit of a reputation with the clutch and/or its throwout bearing. There is a 2010 TSB for '05 -'11 throwout bearing issue (T-SB-0365-10) and there may also be one for the disc and/or pressure plate. Might want to Google Tacoma>6 speed>clutch TSB and see what pops up. Off hand, it sounds like either the disc has separated, is contaminated with oil or is just worn out.

Thanks to both, great advise, thats what I was thinking when I saw the rubber hose in the brake fluid. and for the color I thought that was to dark so I empty it and bought the hi-temp fluid, and that is the one you saw in the pic. the tacoma has very little miles 52389. and is a 2006. thanks for the info, God Bless you guys. <><
