I have a V6 2012 and I use Mobil 1 but I only do about 5000 to 6000 miles a year. Should I be going that many months on regular Mobil1 or should I step it up to the EP? 75% of the miles are on the highway the rest are short low speed trips and towing a 1000 pound trailer.

And I was thinking on of getting the larger Mobil 1 filter as opposed to the oem or the Mobil 1 oem size. Are there any benefits and which one will have a better chance of lasting 10 to 12 months.

I prefer the EP. Been running it in a 2009 370Z and just put it in the Tacoma at 25k about a month ago

For only 5K to 6K miles a year, the regular Mobil 1 should be entirely adequate. I personally don't see any advantage to using the larger or non-OEM filter.

I probably drive the same mileage and conditions you do, and I use Shell Rotella-T synthetic 5W-40 and OEM filters.
