Not sure where to place this post. I have a dark green 2002 tacoma. I've got a small paint chip missing on the hood. It's in the shape of a v. Less than 1/4''. Can't afford paint job. Do those paint repair kits work? Thanks.

I'm not sure how much money you're willing to spend or how much time you're wanting to spend but I'd go to automotivetouchup.com and order touch up paint from them. I've ordered stuff from them on two separate occasions and their stuff is great. Plenty of how to videos too. Easy to order once you choose the make and model vehicle because they pull the paint codes for that year up automatically. Just an option....I've had great results with their stuff...color matched an off road grill surround and touched up another truck with their products.

Thank you. I looked up my color and it's 6Q7. I guess once I've got the right paint, any touchup kit would be fine. Thanks for your advice.

6q7 is imperial jade. i have sprayed sooooo many gallons of that paint in my life. sea island here in georgia uses that color for their corporate fleet of everything from limos, buses, gold carts etc.

honestly id go to the local nail salon and see if you can find some dark green met nail polish. it will be shiny unlike basecoat which will be dull once it drys. no matter which route you go to touch it up its gonna stick out unless you have it blended and the hood recleared..

I called the number at automotivetouchup.com, and they said use a little dab of clearcoat and a little of the 6Q7. Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
