When I went to Walmart to purchase my Mobil 1 0-20W for my first oil change (5750 on the odo) I noticed two kinds of 0-20W. There is Advanced Fuel Economy version and Extended Performance version.

Although I plan to change my oil every 5K miles per the service recommendations, I went ahead and bought the Extended Performance version. Now I am wondering for the next oil change if I should continue using this version or go with the Advanced Fuel Economy version....maybe it doesn't matter.

Can anyone share some information on this question?

    My truck is a 2013 AC 2.7L I-4.

    Thanks

The Advanced Fuel Economy M1 is the regular 0w20 M1 oil. They call it "advanced fuel economy" because 0w20 is such a light weight that it helps fuel economy by a very small amount. In recent years, manufacturers have been specifying this light weight for fuel economy reasons/CAFE.
If you are keeping a 5k mile OCI (oil change interval), it probably doesn't matter much which one you use. I say don't bother with the EP version, it's designed for extended OCIs -- more than 10k miles or over 1 year, something like that. The regular M1 provides more than enough protection.
