Hello everyone! 2012 DCSB SR5. I'd like to swap out my 16" steel wheels (with cheap plastic chrome hubcaps) with these 16" alloys. I know the TPMS sensor angle issue allows the sensor from my steel wheels to be installed at a 180 degree angle. I was wondering if I'm better off having the steel wheel pressure sensors banded/strapped onto the new alloy wheel....? Also will there be an issue by going from 245/75/16 to 265/70/16 General Grabber AT2's? They just seem to be wider. The sticker for recommended tire size in the door jamb worries me. I know I'll need new lug nuts too. I wish this truck was like my Jeep Wrangler that I had before this where I can just forget about the TPMS by plugging in a little programmer for $120 and disable the light on the dash whenever I want without unplugging anything or cutting wires or making the pvc compression pipe thing. Wonder if I'll need to buy the straps myself or if a tire shop will have them. Sucks too that a lot of places around my way won't install tires unless I either buy from them or I'm replacing with the same size tire.

    Thanks for any replies!

For anyone searching for answers like this in the future:

The tires fit and ride great. The tire shop said they didn't want to strap the steel TPMS on the wheel because the valve stem acts as the antenna to send the signal and they prefer it to be out so they originally said the sensors wouldn't work with the allow wheels but I showed them how to flip the sensors around and they agreed to install them. Haven't had any issues after a week. They said to just let whoever dismounts the tires to know about the setup and to drop the sensor inside the tire before popping out the wheel. I got the lugs off ebay and 1 out of the 24 didn't have threads so the tire shop laughed at me.

Looks good. I would laugh too bc for 2 bucks more you probably could have got lugs from them
