Hello.. I have a 98 reg cab 2.7 auto 4x4. I want to replace the stock 15" tires with a bigger 31x10.50 15. Will this work with a stock suspension and is it going to kill my performance and mileage? I know i have 4:56 gears. I don't want to do more harm than good. If i do need a lift for this what is the smallest i can go with? Thanks

15" is the diameter of the wheel.

You can put on 31x10.5 r15 tire with no lift and your truck will have no problem moving them. The drop in fuel economy will be negligible (depending on what size tires you're running now).

Stock suspension, stock gearing. 31/10.50/15's fit easy. Especially if you have 4.56 gearing.

I have Cooper Discoverer S/ST's. Great tires. They hold traction in snow/ice to the SLOPPIEST mud.

    stock-ish
265/75/16's on stock suspension and stock wheels, only rubbed frame at full lock and when stuffed and turned. Now it has 285/75/16 on 5100/custom rear leafs and spidertrax spacers to clear the UCA's. No frame rubbing but I need to trim...

so do you want the biggest tire or you just want to put on another 31" tire?

31" tire is factory size so it wouldnt effect anything much

I want the biggest tire my 2.7 auto will turn without a big reduction in power and economy. I also don't want to get into doing anything more than a spacer type lift. I have 235 75 15 tires now and i figured going to 31 10.50 15 tires would be a good choice but if i can go a little bigger that would be cool too. Thanks

Max I would run on stock would be 32" tires. I clear my 31" tires with plenty of room. Anything higher than 32" I would assume would rub.
