I have a 2013 Prerunner Double Cab OR. I used the bilstein 5100's all around and set the front to 1.75. I bought 17x9 wheels with 4.75 backspacing and -6mm offset and e-rated or 10 ply tires.

I have had intermittent vibrating in the steering wheel and initially thought it was a balancing issue yet I was at Toyota for a recall (brake actuator) and one of the Tacoma lift guru's there said the vibes were most likely due to my wheel offset. He said with that offset you will feel a lot due to Tacoma's having a weak steering rack...anyone heard this?

He said the new Tacoma Baja pro is going to have more offset and wondering if they will have vibes or if Toyota will put a new, stronger steering rack on it?

Anyone running a similar set up and having issues?, does his reasoning sound viable? Thanks
