I am considering shorty headers for a 2014 TRD OR 4.0L V6 but there is a lot of contradictory information on the manufacturers and resellers websites.

Some websites (LCE for example) show the Doug Thorley THY-517-C as fitting 2012 and later; while others (like AA) show it as 2012 only.
An email reply I got from DT didn't really clear things up - they gave the impression they were waiting for me to tell them if they fit.

JBAs are pretty much the same story; one website says a model fits but the JBA website seems to stop at 2010. They have not replied to my email.

I can't figure out if they haven't updated the websites, haven't tested for fit and don't want to commit, or if they actually don't fit. So....

    - Has anyone successfully installed shorty headers on a 2014 (or even 2013) 4.0L V6? If so, which ones?

    - Does anyone know of a layout or design change since 2012 that would prevent fitment of the DT 517-C which are supposed to fit 2012.

    Tanks for any input.

05-11 4.0's dont have the AIR pump system. Most websites havent updated their inventory description to 2014 models. Engine wise if it fits a 2012 it will fit a 2014. I have JBA long tubes on my 13, they are direct bolt in. Shorties will require exhaust work.

I also have JBA long tubes on my '13. they're kind of a PITA to install yourself tho. the Air pump system is a bitch to deal with. much easier on 05-11's. Like Fyremanpat said...shorties do require you to remove the headers, cut & weld the old cats onto the new headers, then reinstall. IMO it was too much of a pain to do it solo, with my minimal metal work experience i was worried about getting the fitment right.

When you're ready to pull the trigger, definitely CALL URD, don't PM, or email. And if possible try to talk to Gadget, he's just overflowing with knowledge, and very helpful.
