Ok so I go on a weeks vacation in a month and really wanna take the truck out on a scenic trip. I'm in the St.Louis, MO area and I'd like to stay within a 6-8 hour drive. My ideal destination would be a fun spot to camp and be able to hit some trails. I havnt had the time to get out of town in s&w while and need a place to go. I'd even meet up if anyone was interested. Lol

If you have an entire week, why only travel 6-8 hours away? If you extended your range you would have a lot more scenic parts of the country to explore. I would recommend CO or even NM. Lots of great scenery, trails and free camping!

Ideally if like to stay within 6 hours from home because of fuel/money. I figure I could get there useing just a bit more than a tank use the remaining fuel to wander around with and another tank or so to get back home. So maybe $300 in gas and roughly $50ish for food. I plan on camping so paying for a room is out of the equation. And god forbid my truck fails me or something breaks, that would most likey cost a arm and a leg with my luck. Lol so I should probably add I have a spending limit of $500. Should be very easily achieved.
