    Nothing is running, even 1 hour after start up, it just stays spinning, and its causing performance issues, ie video wont play smoothly. Windows 8.1 Dell 8500, 1 yr old desktop, i7, 8gb ram, 1 tb hd. Any thoughts?

    Open the Resource Monitor, expand the Disk row on the Overview tab, sort by Total(B/sec), and you'll be able to see what's doing it.
