Will 33's be too much for a 2.7L?

I plan on about a 2" maybe 2.5" lift with Fox Coilovers and Total Chaos UCA's.

    A. I don't want to lose performance or need to regear the truck

    B. I don't want rubbing or cutting

Do you recommend sticking with 265/75R16's or can I go 285/75R16's?

    Thanks...

Any bigger tire will rob power and you will likely having rubbing but it van be easily fixed.

No you won't need to re gear

Yes you will lose some performance

And yes if you don't want to have to deal with using more power to pish more tire you should stay with a smaller tire..

But fuck all that shit its smiles per gallon not miles.... 33" s are kewl

I'm not worried about mpg, I worried it might be sluggish when I step on the gas...

Read what I said you are pushing more weight going to affect performance. Aka the slugishness you are referring to.

33s on the 4.0L made it slightly sluggish and shit in towing (went back to 265/75s), I wouldn't attempt it on 2.7L unless min of 4.56 gears
