(2001 SR5 4x4) I see a lot of dust build up inside of my Headlights and was wondering if the lens cover can be removed to clean inside of them or are they self sealed?

2001-2004 headlight assemblies can be removed with "just a few bolts/screw/clips", but I don't think they're designed to be disassembled (for internal cleaning). With the exception of the holes in which the bulbs are installed, I believe they're sealed units.

For ~$30/ea (http://www.amazon.com/TYC-20-6074-00-Toyota-Headlight-Assembly/dp/B000H8U5YQ/ and http://www.amazon.com/TYC-20-6073-00-Passenger-Headlight-Assembly/dp/B000H8W16G/), however, you can simply replace them. I did several years ago, and I remain very pleased.

Yup, the headlights themselves are completely sealed.

Only way to remove the lens is by heating it up in an oven or with a heat gun.

Like Steve said, might as well just replace them.

Thanks guys. I saw what looked like metal retaining clips holding the lens cover on and hoped it would be possible. The Amazon one looks good :)

Preheat oven to 325. Put a few 2x4s in and set the headlights on top. Bake for 6 min.
