Looking to see if there would be any interested in a fire suppression system for you long travel guy and everyone else. just a little insurance on are trucks was designed my NASA in mind but is adaptable to anything.
    group buy Pricing tbd...

    A little info:
he Fire Bottle System is an on-board fire suppression system designed for most types of race cars. It’s mounted in the car with tubing and nozzles pointed at the driver. In the event of an on-board fire, the driver pulls a T-handle that immediately releases a chemical calledhalon. The fire is extinguished quicker than conventional emergency personnel could reach the car.

“Halon is a liquid that turns into a gas,” Skaggs explained. “It’s the same product that’s used in aviation and by NASA. We were looking for something that could put a fire out, but that wouldn’t harm a driver if it was inhaled.”

    the link to the product.

Holy crap that is excessive for a Fire extinguisher... my professional advice is get a good BC fire extinguisher and a quick release mount... They talk a big game about discharging completely and yada yada.. but a good quality FE for $50-60 with a good $60 quick disconnect will do the same thing saving you $300

You can get a Halon Fire extinguisher for around $89 from places like Gateway fire Supply.. They say Halon is safe because it doesnt harm if inhaled.. Look at what it does.. its a fire suppressor, Halon takes out the O2 out of a area where being sprayed..This in turn takes out one side of the fire triangle (fuel, ignition, and air).. by taking out a side it puts the fire out. yes it has improved over the years, and isnt as bad as it used to be. but the fumes that it has, having a chemical change from Liquid to gas it can still cause harm including Avioler Breakdown, which in non medical terms means the break down of the ball like sacks in your lungs that are involved in oxygen exchange to the blood system.. The reason Nasa can use it is because they have a system that is putting 100% o2 at all times into the space shuttle. We breath air at 21-23% 02. so when they suppress an area in a shuttle the area is going to immediately push 100% o2 back in to the cabin so the crew can breathe easy.

For the record...Halon WOULD harm the driver, possibly...it works by displacing oxygen..soooo if it vents out into the cab...for like someone that is LT and still has windows...it could create a pocket that would suffocate the driver :D

We used it in the Navy down in our engineering spaces...and when Halon has been activated we have 60 seconds to evacuate the space before it discharges and kills everything fire and human related inside
