Hey all! To make a long story short, I was involved in a bad accident and my '13 DCSB is totaled. Now I am in the market to get another Taco. I may have a potential purchase lined up with a family friend. Here are the details as I know them at this time:

'01 DC TRD 4x2, V6, auto, 58,000 orig miles, original owner, no accidents, most service records are on hand, truck has not been modded, and I'd be surprised if the guy took in the dirt. Owner says the truck is in great shape, but I've yet to look at it personally. Price is $14K.

While this all sounds pretty damn nice, is there anything I need to be aware of, or anything special I need to look out for? The only reason I ask is because the truck is approaching 14 years old.

    Thanks for your help!

price sounds a bit high for a 4x2, but sounds clean otherwise. check lower ball joints (recall), frame for rust.

edit: if truck lived its whole life in California, i doubt it has any rust issues.

Thanks for the help. I am going to check out the truck this weekend. I'm pretty excited, but I don't want to overlook anything. You guys think a price closer to 13K is more appropriate? I did a KBB on the truck and got a crazy number...16K if I remember right.

$12.5-13 seems about right (at least as far as Pacific Northwest pricing haha). Definitely like the low miles though!
