We did call the number and they just bounced us between the DOT and NHTSA. The only other thing I can think of is calling our local new channels. We also tried calling our state senators. Nothing...

Only prob is that if this goes through with the news...and we get the Tacoma... Well, if our truck ever needs servicing on our ISLAND...we are screwed.

You just need to make an annonomys (sp?) phone call to the news.... You can't be the only one they are doing this to...

Take the documentation into the dealership and show them. Tell them you would like to finalize the deal or walk away. Unfortunately, due to your geographical location your options are limited.

The CARS program was basically an idea that has been poorly executed. Hopefully everything works out for you.

They said that they didn't care what the site said. They are waiting until they get paid before they hand us the keys to the truck... Which is wrong. We already reported them. I'd hate for them to get fined $15,000 per incident...but they aren't following the rules...

Alrighty guys! The dealership finally cleared our truck to be released...Hmm... a day after our state senator's office called us back about the whole dispute... But yes, it is here. We have to wait a day for the plates so the truck is CLEAN up front... And it's a good thing these pics were taken as soon as we got home because the dealer got the plates today... So we'll be heading down in a few mins to get it plated... Anyway, here are the pictures of the Taco. (taken with a Nikon D40 D-SLR, 18-55mm lens)

Looks good! But you are a better person than I am, I'd have been in that managers office going on a  followed by a :smack:upside the coconut. Since it's a government program, they can't refuse it - and I'd have pointed out the fact that a $15,000 fine would hit'em harder than the $3,500 they were waiting for.

Did they at least throw something in for being such jackasses?
