Don't disagree with you that it looks different. I'm just saying that would be the absolute stupidest Lexus owner/dealer to ever do that, when the correct color is available. That's all I'm saying.

Agreed that it is/was a stupid idea. PO could've been a husky wife who cracked up the old leather and hence put a replacement Lexus seat in. But I guess we won't know for sure until OP gets back.

The seats are the same color lol. I think that's a camera angle or something. The center console was a little dirty in the picture, the car has not been thru detail yet.

It is a tough call, I don't use my truck much but it is nice when I need it. It came in very handy last winter with all the bad weather. I do like my taco a lot. If I keep it I think some lce headers will help highway performance a bit, and I will prob. be looking to get xm radio

I have both; '02 Tacoma and a '03 ES300  Best of both worlds.....

We were a strict Camry XLE family until a Honda got passed along.....Story shortened...wife hated the Ridglines mpg's and with no XLE's to be found....I lucked out a found a pre-certified Lexus with full paperwork...

OP, if it "works" for you, just do it!!!! ;) That Lexus will NOT drop in value like some other ( big 3 cough cough) do :p....and you know 1st hand ,100-200k on these is a walk in the park...

The only way that ES leaves my driveway will be when a newer one replaces it....:)

    Get a FRS :D :burnrubber:

I think getting a 1st gen taco would be ideal. No rust problems in the middle of the desert so hopefully there would be lots and then turn that into a weekend warrior. Then use the Lexus at a DD.

Frs is a fun car but not practical at all. The 2014 scion tc in that blue color is sharp though... I love the new front end on them.

Es is basically a luxury Camry oh and the frs is garbage and doesn't even put out that many ponies for a "sports" car.

Sedans are boring. I had a Grand Prix, then an A4, then a Fj (cool, almost bought another one) , then a VW cc. Then a Tacoma 2014 double cab Trd off road. Not boring, I can haul stuff, winter driving, off roading and I have Navigation and entune. Upgraded speakers and amp, stereo sounds awesome. Sedans are boring. The other day I saw a guy at Home Depot take a lawn mower out of a box and try to stuff it in his Camry. He looked stupid and surly felt stupid. And if the zombie apocalypse happens, try fleeing to the mountains in a Lexus.

If you're the type of guy that likes tarmac and in a decent vehicle you'll just go out grab a coffee and drive for two hours for the hell of it, and enjoy yourself doing it, go for the lexus.

Consider that not everybody has a good place to off road and many are restricted to small overcrowded off roading areas. Maybe you will find you really like off roading in your new spot? Then you'll kick your ass for getting rid of the tacoma.

I've been down the road with cars. Personally I've found that I value my time off road and the associated activities are more worthwhile than anything I can get from a car.

Why not just get a V6 Taco it would be better for cross county driving then the 4cyl and can still wheel?

I am one that sold the wife's 2010 Tacoma AC and picked up at Lexus. All in all, they are 2 different animals. Apples and oranges.

I have made my decision... I'm going to keep the Tacoma. I just like the truck too much. The lex is a beautiful car but I think I would get bored with it after a while. I think I'm going to throw a lce header on my truck to give it a little extra power on the hwy. If a nice crew can v6 comes in I might trade for it. But either way I'll be going to Vegas w a Tacoma. Looking forward to wheeling it in the desert.

Agree with having both. One for adventures and the other for show. I have a 2013 RX 350 and a 2013 DCLB 4x4 taco. Best of both worlds. Godspeed.
