Hey guys here is my situation i currently have 3" spacer lift + 2 " AAL from toytec on my 2004 ext cab. the ride is terrible time to upgrade.
I just got fox coilovers they clame 0-3" fox says they are set right under 3"
    Fox rear i got 980-02-550 & 551 say 0-1"
per wheerlers offroad when they sell ALCAN leafs they suggest a shock length of Pass side 22.6 Driver 21.6 alcan leafs should add 2-2 1/4" lift
these rear fox shocks i got are not that length..
Do i need this length for shocks with the AAL i have im stuck and my brain hurts i dont know what to do.. and they sent me two diffrent shock models wtf... can i just run the shock length wheelers provided until i but the alcan pack.
People with alcan leafs and 3" what length shock you ride? i suck at typing stuff ><

Best bet is to cycle the suspension with the new springs and no shocks. measure full compression length and fully extended. The amount of lift (ride height) is a factor of spring rate and stack height of the leafpack. If you install a thicker leafpack you are increasing the length required of a shock at full droop(extended). The shock needs to be long enough to not stop the wheel from extending and have enough travel to allow full compression.

I am running a ten inch stroke shock that is about 24.5" extended and 14.5" compressed. Those numbers are off the top of my old brain and on a second gen.

Hope that helped. I would mount your springs cycle without shocks and measure. Then check your nice looking shocks. If they are not a fit try returning them as they look brand new. Good luck

Hey thank you overlander i really appreciate your input.
after researching this more and using that thing called a "search" function that is exactly what needs to be done.. but i dont have a jack and cant do this on the street.
wheelers offroad told me 22.6 and 21.6 fox had 22.8 and 21.8 so i got that
which is only 8 and 8.5 travel.. and i am starting to believe i need more lol for wheelers alcan 8 pack i think i need 9-9.5 or a straight 10 travel?
