Going to change out my upper ball joints and can't seem to find a DIY video for an 01. Found one for an older model and mine does not look like that. Searched around and can't find it.
Can someone please through me a bone!!

Since you're replacing them, it's easy:

    Jack up front of vehicle
Use hydraulic jack under lower control arm (take spring pressure off Upper ball joint.)
    Rip cotter pin out
    Take off bolt
Let off hydraulic jack under lower control arm
Use screwdriver/hammer, take off c-clip and boot.
Smack the fuck out of the stem of the ball joint with a bigass maul/hand sledgehammer
Ball joint gives up to your overwhelming masculinity, and pops out.
Get new ball joint (assuming OEM, and not inferior dogshit aftermarket one)
Use ball joint press tool (rent from autozone/oriellys)
Also, find a friend, or grow a third/fourth arm
Hold press, ratchet, driver cups, joint, and UCA together (wizard magic, or friend assist)
Press in until firmly seated (groove showing)
Install the big c-clip around it, in groove.
Tear open packets of goopy shit, and apply based on the crude Asian worded diagram inside the OEM packaging.
    Put on boot
Secure with the supplied metal dental floss (wrap twice at base, twist, snip excess, bend edge away from boot)
    Raise jack
Guide spindle hole onto Upper ball joint
    Tighten on new bolt.
Torque bolt (crude diagram should have torque value written in Newton-meters, and ft-lbs)
Insert cotter pin. If it doesn't go cleanly, torque further until able to alight castle-nut and hole, for cotter pin.
    Bend cotter pin
Remove jack under lower control arm.

    Done.
Disclaimer, not the pro way of doing it, but exponentially faster than trying to use the press to get it out.

Murphy's law says the inferior dogshit sledghammer will live forever, but someone will steal it. You will buy a nice new one that will break instantly!! haha
