Do you have the ball joint press tool? If not your gonna need one. Should be a large clip around the top of the spindle that will need to be removed and the ball joint pressed down and out.

Try a ball joint press. You can rent them from parts stores. I couldn't get the one I rented to work. Used lots of heat and penetrating lube. Then a BFH. Finally got it out but bent the spindle a little. Safe bet is to use a press!

EDIT: Redneck beat me to it!

I have this press but looks like it will press in and not press out. If it does I'm lost.
    The pin was already removed.

I had the 3/2 press with the three articulating legs.

I think you can use the one too though. You would have to use a cup on the bottom that catches the spindle but allows the ball joint to press into it.

Put the new one in the freezer for several hrs or overnight. Clean the spindle well and put anti seize on the frozen ball joint. Heat spindle with a torch and tap it in. I didn't need a press to get it all the way in.
